YOGABOUT FAQS

DO I NEED ANY BUSHWALKING OR YOGA EXPERIENCE?

All yoga classes are suitable for total beginners to advanced.

Yogabout Getaways provide forest therapy walks of different lengths from short walks less than 4km, medium walks ranging from 6 to 10kms and longer walks of more than 10km. Please choose a Yogabout Getaway that suits your fitness level.

No bushwalking experience required however you must have enough balance and steadiness to walk on uneven ground, up or down short inclines with or without steps, and be prepared for the possibility of slippery surfaces particularly if its been raining.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Yoga mats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own and a blanket and cushion.

Comfortable clothes for gentle yoga, appropriate footwear for walking in the bush (water resistant closed in shoes), a hat, a small backpack to carry your camera, sunburn cream, water bottle, water proof coat and pants. And a smile to share.

It does snow around Daylesford in the winter, and in the summer it can be 30 degrees one day and only 12 degrees the next, so please ensure you bring enough clothes including a woolly hat, scarf, gloves, thick socks and a warm coat in the winter.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T MAKE IT DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS?

A full refund will be offered or you can choose to reschedule to another weekend of the same value.

HOW DO I GET THERE AND TO THE START OF THE WALKS?

You will need your own car as public transport is not available.

WHAT HAPPENS IF ITS RAINING?

As light showers are common we will walk in the rain with an umbrella. If it is continual heavy rain we will do some indoor activities such as nadi (sound) yoga through listening to the piano being played, and learning how to do a mindful walking meditation.

CAN I COME ALONE?

Absolutely. Come along and meet other likeminded people who also enjoy bushwalking and what to learn more about yoga.
