About this Yogabout Getaway

On this Yogabout weekend you will drift off to a restful sleep after a day of bushwalking, forest bathing, eating nutritious food, practicing the ancient wisdom tradition of yoga, learning practical techniques to calm the mind,  and listening to the grand piano being played whilst staying at Arinya Retreat. Arinya is surrounded by forest with endless spectacular vistas and unsurpassed natural sustainable design. 

Weekend highlights include a visit to an authentic yoga ashram, three guided short bush walks exploring sections of the Goldfields Track in both Wombat Forest and Hepburn Regional Park, and Arinya the architecturally eco-friendly designed home constructed of rammed earth nestled in the Hepburn Regional Park, only a 10-minute drive from Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.

Gentle yoga asanas (postures), suited to all body types, experience levels and ages, will be practiced daily to help you release stress from the body and the mind. Yoga Nidra, an amazing deep relaxation technique, along with different types of meditation are also practiced. 

The combination of all activities offered over the weekend and Annie’s friendly, calming persona will help you to slow down, reconnect, and find your place of inner peace, balance and stillness, so you feel more relaxed, fulfilled, cleansed, calm, happy, grateful, content and centred.

Your meals will be prepared by a local chef committed to the slow food philosophy and supporting local farming and communities. The very best quality local produce will be used to create meals you will remember for all the right reasons. Sharing the weekend and your food with a small group will enable you to form close relationships with other like minded people.

All meals and accommodation are included in the cost.

The program is designed so you have plenty of time to sit back and relax, as well as enjoy some organised group activities.

Friday

Sunday

am yoga asana /  breakfast / pack up /visit an authentic yoga ashram  nestled in the Heart of Wombat State Forest (less than 15 minutes drive in your own car).  Walk the Ashram grounds and soak up the ever so peaceful calming atmosphere in the Ashram gardens and enjoy morning tea, followed by a  deep relaxing Yoga Nidra and wholesome lunch made with fresh produce grown in the Ashram garden. 

After lunch we venture into the Wombat forest under the canopy of the tall trees following an old railway which forms part of the Goldfields Track. 

We will finish around 2.30pm so there is ample time for you to return home or to pop into Daylesford for a look around.
